These grooming chunking shears are 7½ inches long and have 21 teeth with micro-serrated teeth which prevent the hair from pushing. The last several teeth have heavier serrations to ensure a Precise Cut all the way to the tip without the groomer adding any pressure. Because these shears have both a convex edge and the micro-serrations, they require two methods of sharpening, so it is important to be careful who you allow to sharpen these chunking shears. Not all conventional sharpeners will know how to keep these shears in proper working order. Though Precise Cut Shears warrantees these curved chunking shears for the life of the shear against manufacturing defects, they cannot warrantee an improper sharpening job. These chunking shears are also available as a curved model as well as a true lefty chunking shear.
